FICTITIOUS COUP IN FRANCE: EMMANUEL MACRON SAYS HE WAS CONTACTED BY AN AFRICAN PRESIDENT

SPEAKING to the newspaper La Provence, French President Emmanuel Macron shared that he had been reached out to by an African leader on Facebook. This leader thought there was a coup happening in France. The African president was fooled by an AI-made video that spread quickly online and was viewed over 13 million times.

He said, "I even got a message from a colleague.

To be honest, it came from one of my African friends." The message read, "Dear President, what is happening in your country? I am very worried." However, the name of the African leader who sent the message wasn't made public.

According to Jeune Afrique, the African leader was tricked by a video that showed a journalist near the Elysée Palace.

The journalist said, "Unofficial reports suggest there's a coup in France, led by a colonel whose name hasn't been revealed, and President Emmanuel Macron might fall."
