Truphena started the challenge on December 8, going three full days without food or sleep. Her goal was to raise awareness about deforestation and encourage a stronger human connection with nature. This record breaks her own previous achievement of 48 hours.
Truphena called her act a "silent protest", aimed at bringing people together regardless of their social, political, or economic backgrounds. She explained, "The importance of this peaceful protest is that it bypasses all differences.
During other protests we hear stories of goons, but this one triggers humanity. The process is therapeutic and strengthens my call for environmental conservation."
Her bold action caught the attention of the whole country, drawing in leaders, activists, and hundreds of Kenyans who supported her.
The event received widespread media coverage from both traditional and online sources. People gathered outside the Nyeri Governor’s office, cheering her on as she held on to the tree.
As admiration for her strength and dedication grew, many Kenyans gave her generous gifts to honor her achievement.
In addition to local support, Truphena will be officially recognized by Guinness World Records, bringing her global recognition for her outstanding environmental efforts.
