FREDERIC Pechier, 53, a doctor who intentionally poisoned 30 patients, has been sentenced to life in prison.

Twelve of those 30 patients died.
Pechier was found guilty of giving patients harmful chemicals like potassium chloride or adrenaline.
This was one of the biggest cases of medical misconduct in France.
The court came to its decision during a four-month trial, which ended on Friday in Besançon, an eastern city.
The youngest victim was a four-year-old boy who survived two heart attacks during surgery to remove a small tumor from his throat in 2016.
The oldest person affected was 89 years old.
Prosecutors said last week, “You are a killer doctor.
You have disgraced all doctors.” They also said, “You have turned this clinic into a graveyard.”
