CELTIC’S NANCY: “ROMA WERE JUST TOO STRONG FOR US.”

ROMA dominated Celtic at Celtic Park last night, earning a convincing win with goals from Ferguson and an own goal by Scales. The Italian side controlled the game throughout, showing strong momentum, even though Celtic put up a good fight in the second half.

After the game, Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy talked about his team's difficulties against Roma's high energy.

"Some things didn't go our way in the first half, but the truth is that Roma's intensity was too much for us. We never managed to get out of their pressure," he said. Nancy also mentioned that even when Celtic had chances to attack, they made bad decisions in the final part of the pitch.

Celtic had a moment of hope in the 65th minute when a goal involving Kelechi Iheanacho was ruled out.

The striker's presence helped lift the team's attack, and they tried to push forward and change the game. Still, Roma kept their composure and stopped any real chance of a comeback.

Even though the team responded well in the second half, Nancy admitted that Scales' early own goal made it harder for them.

He ended by saying, "In the second half, we might have deserved a goal, but the truth is only one: Roma are simply too strong for us right now."
