BRENDAN RODGERS APPOINTED THE MANAGER OF SAUDI SIDE AL QADSIAH

BRENDAN Rodgers, who previously managed Liverpool and Celtic, has been named the new head coach of Al Qadsiah, a team in the Saudi Pro League. The club said this move shows their desire to become one of the top teams in Asia.

Rodgers, who is 52 years old and from Northern Ireland, has a lot of experience.

He has coached Liverpool, Leicester City, and Celtic, and has overseen over 300 Premier League matches. He is known for his style of play that focuses on possession and attacking football.

James Bisgrove, the CEO of Al Qadsiah, said in a statement on Tuesday, "This is a big moment for the club.

Brendan's experience and past achievements show our ambition and long-term plans."

Rodgers took Liverpool to the Premier League runners-up spot in 2014, with the team scoring a club record 101 goals.

He also led Leicester City to their first FA Cup win in 2021 and won 11 major trophies during his two stints at Celtic. He left Celtic in October after leading them to two consecutive league titles.

Carlos Anton, the Sporting Director of Al Qadsiah, added, "His approach fits well with our strategy.

He joins a squad that is full of talent and eager to succeed."

Al Qadsiah, which continues to invest a lot in their sporting goals, are currently in fifth place in the Saudi top league.
