4 FOREIGNERS, INCLUDING 3 STUDENTS, ARRESTED BY THE DAKAR BRS

POLICE officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), part of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), successfully broke up a drug trafficking group on December 16 and 17, 2025. Four foreign nationals were detained in the areas of Ngor, Ouakam, and Medina, each carrying nearly one kilogram of "skunk," a type of mixed cannabis.

Three students and a trader were among those caught.

The arrested individuals include Nigerian student Abdoulnasser Ibra Seydou Sanda, living in Ouakam; Malian student Mouhamed Moussa Diallo, residing in Medina; Beninese student Wafick Asther Mousse, based in Ouakam; and Congolese trader Idrissa Sakho, living in Ngor, according to reports from Seneweb.

These arrests came after intelligence revealed the presence of an international drug trafficking network in the region.

The information indicated that one of the suspects was heavily involved in this illegal trade and was believed to have a large amount of the drug.

To catch the suspect in action, investigators placed a test order for 20 grams of skunk at 50,000 CFA.

The meeting was set up in front of a pharmacy in Cità Avion, Ouakam, where a team of police officers was waiting.

Abdoulnasser Ibra Seydou Sanda was detained during the delivery, found with a bag containing 20.4 grams of skunk and a mobile phone.

Caught in the act, the suspect agreed to help by pointing out his supplier, who was waiting at home.

A visit to that location led to the arrest of Mouhamed Moussa Diallo. A search of his belongings uncovered four bags of skunk weighing 60 grams, electronic scales, a grinder, a cell phone, and a Jakarta brand motorcycle.

Following this, the police went to the suspect's home in the Medina district.

A search of his room resulted in the discovery of another grinder, 300,000 CFA, packaging bags, and four bags of drugs totaling around 95 grams.

Mouhamed Moussa Diallo then identified his supplier, Wafick Asther Mousse, who was based in Ouakam.

Under the watchful eyes of the investigators, he placed an order for 50 grams at 125,000 CFA. The transaction happened in front of the Ouakam pharmacy, where Wafick Asther Mousse was caught with the order quantity and a mobile phone.

A search of his room led to the discovery and confiscation of an additional 307 grams of skunk, an electronic scale, and packaging bags.

Finally, Wafick Asther Mousse agreed to place an order with his own supplier.

The supplier, identified as Idrissa Sakho, was arrested during the transaction, found with 50 grams of skunk, a Jakarta motorcycle, and a mobile phone.

All four suspects were taken into custody on charges of conspiracy, possession, and international drug trafficking, according to Seneweb sources.

This operation highlights the police's strong commitment to fighting drug trafficking and dismantling criminal organizations operating within the country.
