Punjab's Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the province's first Community Health Inspectors Programme on Wednesday. The initiative aims to bring healthcare services to each household and help detect diseases early. The event took place at the Punjab Hockey Stadium and was attended by 55,000 community health inspectors from throughout the province.

Maryam Nawaz walked around the stadium track, greeted inspectors from all districts, and waved back at the crowd's slogans.
She stated, "When mothers, sisters, and daughters stand together, no one can defeat Punjab.
The daughters of Punjab will change the province's future."
She explained that 25,000 community health inspectors will go into the field, visit homes, identify diseases, and offer basic treatment.
The chief minister emphasized that the government will not wait for people to get sick before seeking medical help.
Instead, it will go door to door to provide health advice and diagnostic services.
Community health inspectors will be able to check blood sugar levels, perform simple diagnostic tests, and give injections.
A digital health profile for every household will also be created, she added.
She said the program has created jobs for 25,000 people, and each inspector will receive a monthly salary of Rs50,000, which will be raised based on their performance.
Calling the community health inspectors a "mission," she said this is more than just a job—it is a spirit of service.
She added that the daughters of the nation will go into people's homes to serve the public, and respecting them is everyone's duty.
During the ceremony, fireworks were displayed, inspectors marched past with band music playing, and people turned on their phone lights to welcome the guests.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir also spoke and praised the chief minister's performance.
Maryam Nawaz reiterated that the Punjab government is committed to proactive governance and is taking real steps to offer modern healthcare to every citizen.
